C.E.R.T
For those developing their mediumship abilities it is a good idea to follow the guidelines of C.E.R.T.
This is a good way to stay focused and I and many other mediums were taught to use this. By using this tool a medium can provide the four major requirements and information thus so giving a genuine
communication from spirit. Using C.E.R.T will help teach people that the true
bond of love never dies and our loved ones personalities carry on after that transition that we call death.
C – Communicator
This is the spirit that is communicating to the medium. It is quite often
a relative or friend and is known by the sitter. (sitter is the living person receiving the information via the medium)
The communicator is asked to give as mush information as possible. Like
their name, age, height, colour of skin, colour of eyes, their clothes style, how they passed, any information that only the
sitter could verify.
E – Evidence
Once the identity of the spirit has been established, more information is necessary to prove that the spirit is indeed
aware of both past and recent events in the sitter’s life and circumstances. The
spirit (communicator) could provide some further information. This could include Hobbies, past memories, shared memories, mannerisms, illnesses, recent events that
have occurred in the sitter’s life. Events occurring around the sitter
and their family members at this time.
R – Reason
This covers why the spirit wishes to communicate, reasons given can be: To
give comfort to the grieving, give support, reassurance, to prove that they are aware of what has happened or happening. To prove that there is existence after death.
T – Tie It Up
Tie up all the information given by the communicator. A mediums role is
to provide evidence of the survival of the human personality after the physical state we call death. It will also prove that the true bond of love never dies.
